General Collections Information

New payment plans: If you are unable to pay your traffic ticket in full on or before your due date and would like a payment plan, follow the instructions in the Financial Hardship and Inability to Pay Section below to submit an ability to pay request and request a payment plan. Failure to resolve your traffic/minor offense ticket by the due date may result in a $100 civil assessment penalty being added to the original bail and your case being referred to Linebarger for delinquent collections. You may also be ordered in court to set up a payment plan with Linebarger.

Court payment plans: If you have an existing payment plan established with the Court prior to November 10th, continue to make your monthly payments to the Court using the Court payment options listed below. If you do not make timely payments, your payment plan may become delinquent and referred to Linebarger for collections.

Delinquent cases: If you have an existing delinquent case with the Court Collections Unit or Franchise Tax Board prior to November 10th, your case may have been referred to Linebarger for collections. Please follow the instructions on Linebarger's delinquent collection notice to make payments. If you do not resolve your delinquent case timely with Linebarger by paying the balance owed or setting up a payment arrangement, you may be referred to the Franchise Tax Board Interagency Intercept Program for interception of state tax refunds, lottery, or unclaimed property funds owed to you. You may also be referred to the Francise Tax Board Court Ordered Debt Collection Program for wage garnishments and/or bank levies.

Why Did My Case Go to Linebarger?

Cases are assigned to Linebarger if you appeared in court and ordered to make monthly payments or if you failed to pay a traffic ticket by the appearance date listed on the original signed ticket.
