Beginning Monday, August 23, 2021, all individuals regardless of vaccination status are required to wear masks in the courthouses. Seating in the courtrooms and the jury assembly room will be every other chair.

Appointments are required for the Civil, Family, Small Claims, Appeals, Mental Health, Juvenile & Probate clerk's offices,
Records & Exhibits, Self-Help centers, Collections and Family Law Mediation. See below for hours & details.

Criminal, Traffic and Collections Filings/Payments will remain on the Northside of the Hall of Justice at the outside
walk-up windows (Ventura courthouse, entrance next to the 126 freeway). No appointment is required.

COVID-19 Court User Updates

Effective July 6, 2021, matters currently scheduled in Courtroom 11 will now be heard in Courtroom 10. Matters currently scheduled in Courtroom 36 will now be heard in Courtroom 11.

Beginning Wednesday, July 14, 2021 - Hall of Justice, 800 Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA:

The court will no longer require that the public check-in prior to entering the Hall of Justice. Any person with a case on calendar is to proceed directly to the assigned courtroom and check the daily calendar posted outside of each courtroom door. Civil matters will continue to be heard via CourtCall only, unless otherwise ordered by the assigned judge. Department of Child Support Services matters will continue to be heard via Zoom only, unless otherwise ordered by the assigned judge. In-person courtroom appearance in Family Law is now required unless appearance by Zoom is authorized pursuant to Amended Administrative Order 21.18 or otherwise ordered by the assigned judge.

Masks Required to Enter the Courthouse Appointments are still required for the Civil, Family, Small Claims, Appeals & Mental Health clerk's offices, Records & Exhibits, Self-Help centers, Collections and Family Law Mediation. If you have an appointment, upon arrival, please go directly to that department to check-in. If you do not have a pre-scheduled appointment, please go to the clerk’s office located in Room 118 to schedule the next available appointment. Walk-in appointments may be scheduled for another day, due to availability, so it is highly recommended that you pre-schedule your appointment by clicking the “Schedule an Appointment” icon below or going to https://calendly.com/vcscreservations.

If you are currently represented by the Public Defender - contact your assigned attorney BEFORE coming to court for instructions.

Beginning Wednesday, July 14, 2021 - East County Courthouse 3855-F Alamo Street, Simi Valley, CA:

The court will no longer require that the public check-in prior to entering the East County Courthouse for Traffic and Small Claims hearings and trials. Any person with a case on calendar in Courtroom S1 is to proceed to the courtroom.

Click here to schedule and appointment The East County Courthouse clerk’s office lobby remains closed to the public. Criminal, Traffic and Collections payments are handled at the exterior walk up window. All Small Claims documents must be filed in Ventura.


Beginning Wednesday, July 14, 2021 – Juvenile and Probate Courthouse, 4353 E. Vineyard Avenue, Oxnard, CA:

If you have a hearing or trial on calendar, please check in at the entrance to the courthouse to receive instructions before entering for your court case. In some instances, you may be required to wait outside.

Appointments are required for filing documents at the Juvenile and Probate clerk’s office and at the Family Resource Center. Making your appointment in advance is highly recommended. If you do not have a pre-scheduled appointment, please go to the Children’s Waiting Room located in Room 108 to schedule the next available appointment. Walk-in appointments may be scheduled for another day, due to availability, so it is highly recommended that you pre-schedule your appointment by clicking the “Schedule an Appointment” icon below or going to https://calendly.com/vcscreservations.
